Integrity – “There Is No Right Way To Do The Wrong Thing”

At iConsult Software, we live by our core values and ensure that at least one of them is resonated in every piece of content that we put out there. In case you haven’t read any of our articles or watched our videos, our core values are:

Today, we are focussing on Integrity. So, what does integrity mean? To us, integrity is about being honest; it is about adhering to moral and ethical principles. Integrity is about staying true, entirely, to your moral character and to your heart. If you don’t feel that integrity is reflected in your day-to-day aesthetic businesses, then you seriously need to be asking yourself why.

Integrity in Aesthetics

As professionals within the private medical and aesthetics industry, we should all understand the importance of integrity, and actually, a great example of integrity within our industry is: knowing when to say ‘no’.

Contrary to common misconception, the customer is not always right. Sometimes a patient will want a certain treatment or procedure that you, as a doctor, surgeon or aesthetician, will know is completely unsuitable. So, what do you do? Do you perform said treatment or procedure to keep the patient happy and take their money? Of course you don’t. This is practicing integrity.

iConsult Founder and MD, Richard Crawford-Small, encountered a similar scenario during the early stages of introducing iConsult Software to the market. A sizeable account and potential client wanted to change the compliant consultation process within the app. Richard, of course, refused.
